There were 39 CICM capitulants, 2 facilitators and 4 Secretaries. The capitulants were of 9 nationalities, coming from 14 mission countries, and of 8 CICM provinces.
We gathered to convene the 16th General Chapter from June 4 to 30, 2023 at Centro Ad Gentes in Nemi, Italy.
The Missionaries of CICM, gathered in the 16h General Chapter, have re-elected Reverend Father Charles Phukuta as their Superior General (2023-2029).
Of the 38 participants present in Rome for this Chapter, a record number of 24 are participating in a General Chapter for the first time.
Our General Chapter began on June 4, 2023, with the celebration of the Eucharist presided by the outgoing CICM Superior General, Fr. Charles Phukuta, and concelebrated by the other outgoing member of the General Government at the Ad Gentes Center in Nemi, Rome.
